Terms of service

Last updated October 2, 2026

SwimTeam is a free, one-person side project. By using it — registering, uploading swims, or just signing in — you agree to these terms. They are short and plainly written on purpose: there is no legal team behind this site, just someone keeping it running for swimmers and coaches who find it useful.

The service is provided as-is

SwimTeam is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Nobody promises that the site will be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that any defect will be corrected, or that it will go on existing at all.

If the site goes down

This is run by one person, on infrastructure that one person maintains, with no service-level agreement and no guarantee of continuity. It can go offline without notice, and there is no commitment that it will come back. To the fullest extent the law allows, the site's operator is not liable for any loss or damage — including lost data, lost access to your swim history, or any other direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss — arising from downtime, data loss, or the service being discontinued, temporarily or permanently. You already hold the only backup that matters: the original export.zip from your phone's Health app, and the swims themselves on the device that recorded them. SwimTeam shows and organizes that data; it was never meant to be its sole home. If you would also like a copy of what SwimTeam has stored and computed from it, you can download one any time from Your data rights.

Your account and your data

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you upload and for keeping your password to yourself. How your data is collected, used, and shared is covered separately in the privacy policy; these terms do not change anything written there.

Tips

Tips made through the link on the team dashboard or profile page are voluntary and go through Stripe's own checkout. They support keeping the site running; they are not a purchase of any particular feature, service level, or guarantee, and they do not change anything else in these terms.

Changes

These terms may change as the site does. The date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms; questions are welcome — see the FAQ.
