Your data rights

Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR — offered to everyone, wherever you live

Your swims and your account are yours. This page is where you can take a copy of them and see what else you are entitled to ask for. What we keep, and why, is in the privacy policy.

Your rights

RightHow
Access — to see what is held about you Download it above, or view your swims on the site.
Portability — to take it elsewhere The JSON and CSV downloads above are structured, common formats.
Rectification — to correct it You can change your distance unit in your profile. To correct your name or email address, or a swim, ask us (below). A swim can also be replaced by uploading a corrected export.
Erasure — to have it deleted Ask us (below) and your swims, or your whole account, are deleted.
Restriction and objection Ask us (below) if you want processing paused or to object to it.
Withdrawing consent You choose what to upload, so nothing is kept without you. To take it back, ask for erasure.
Complaint You can complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EU, the authority in your country.

Health information

Swim times, heart rate and calories from Apple Health are health data, which the GDPR treats with extra care. That is why only swims are kept, only you and your coach can see them, and nothing is shared or used to profile you.

Making a request

Requests for correction, erasure, restriction or objection are made to the person who runs this site. Write to [email protected] from the address on your account, so we know it is you. We aim to answer within one month, the time the GDPR allows. Requests are free.

Removing your swims from this site does not remove them from your iPhone, and deleting them from Health does not remove them from here.
